I am praying for strength, patience, health and healing for you. We will be thinking of things that we can do for you from afar. Know that we love you and are thinking about you and will be in touch soon.

Thank you Leslie for this detailed update, it helps those of us far away who are thinking about him and you and it was really nice to see the pictures of you two. I hope the time passes quickly and the side effects are few and that you get the sweet suite every time! Love to all, Aunt Colleen

    Sam and Leslie,
We have not meet… I go to COGS with Jack and Jackie. Jack and I are the guys that do all the cleaning and picking up after the church events…. you know, the backroom stuff.

Also, we have been attending a Friday morning men’s study group for years.

Jack shared with us your challenges and this post.

I wanted to let you know that our group prays for you ever week…. and Jack gives us updates when he attends. Now, with this link we can keep up on your progress.

Your postings are great… and I am struck by both of your smiles and love. WOW!!!!!! And I didn’t realize what great cooks Jack/Jackie are. Next time I am sick, I am calling them for “food partrol”.

His Peace and Comfort to you two.

    A friend, indeed…

Sam, it’s been a while but I remember when I used to come over after having to get a permission slip to ride the bus home with ya back at ole BMS. Hate what your going having to go though, and I pray for both you and Leslie every day. You couldn’t have found a better parter and wife to go through all this with you. If there is anything I can do for you at all, please let me know and I’ll be there.
Leslie, Sam is so lucky to have someone like you to help him through this, I will continue to pray for the both you and Sam. Take the good with the bad and stay positive. Seriously, if my family and I can help you in ANY way at all please don’t hesitate to ask. You two will get through this and it will make you both stronger.
In the mean time I’ll keep praying for you both.

    Sam and Leslie,
I continue to pray for the both of you as I see many many others are as well. I know you will both not only get past this, but with every test it will make you even stronger for whatever life throws at you down the road. I read this qoute the other day and thought of you.

“Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.”
    Václav Havel

If either of you need anything at all let me know, stay strong.

Sam and Leslie, while searching thru cancer blogs I came across yours and it brightened my evening. I too am young and struggling with cancer. Your uplifting attitude in dealing with Sams treatment and surgery was inspiring for me. Im happy for you Sam that your almost done with chemo. Hopefully I’ll have good results like you, I look forward to reading future blogs. I wish you the best, and a speedy recovery to better health!!

Hey LH, had lunch with your old man today and Mr. Meek, and got a full update on the news and progress with you and Sam. Glad to hear Sam is near the end of treatment. You guys sound very strong and dedicated to get past this and move forward…that is great! You ain’t kidding about that cat’s rear end…she makes J Lo look anorexic. Will keep up with you guys on this blog, and have a great Holiday Season with the fam. Will keep you guys in our prayers.

    Hey there Leslie and Sam!

Just came across ya’lls blog via Carrie’s Facebook page. I was unaware of what you guys have been going through this past year. Jeez louise, its been one hell of a ride!!! Life is so crazy and unpredictable, but from the sight of your blog it looks like you guys are doing an amazing job of rolling with the punches. I know both of you and have no doubt in my mind that you’ll transcend this annoying, scary, and challenging time. The process can only make you stronger, theres no way around it.

Much love to you and your families!

You’re in my thoughts and prayers,

Hey there LH and Sam, had lunch with the ole man and Steve M last week and got the update. Glad to hear that treatments are almost over and looking forward to great news in the weeks ahead. Prayers and thoughts are with you guys from the D household. Remember to slide and not get decked like CH did years ago at home plate.

    Mr D
